Well I have been looking and looking all weekend for the right Pontiac Firebird. I do have a list of requirements that make it hard to find one I would feel comfortable with spending the money on. Not that I have the money at the moment, but if I could I’d sell my GTO, 928, and Sprite for the right one. Well my requirements are: 1967 because they have the wing windows and the rest don’t, also ‘67 and ‘68 were the only years Verdoro green was offered which is the color I want (very hard to find), 400 ci engine because if I am going to buy a Firebird it isn’t going to have a damn Chevy engine in it and I want to build a Pontiac motor, bonnet RPM gauge, manual because of course and 4-spd not 3, and I would like a/c but could live without it. Well this 1967 has a 400, Verdoro, and a 4-spd. It is missing Ram Air, a/c, and the hood gauge. It is also $15k and in Upton :(... Yeah jeez these things are getting expensive. Adding what is missing, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ($700), !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! which is probably better than factory ($1340), and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ($300), makes this a $17K car. Not too bad compared to most of them I see online. Do you think my bank will let me take out a loan for a car from 1967?

Classic car financing is a thing. I’m not saying it’s a good thing or a bad thing, but it is a thing.

With 911s the way there are, that doesn’t surprise me.

Well of course, sidepipes are a necessity in small V8 roadsters.

Want to be a bartender here on South Beach? You’ll get the money quickly that way. :)

Gosh, that seems like a really long commute for a second job. I don’t know if I’d show up in time for work after I get off work.

Is that what you do? Ugg... Florida....

That’s cool and sure looks like a good example!

(Disclaimer: I have no experience with muscle cars)

Life is full of things that we want. It’s nice that your thing is realistically attainable :)

I like something that requires me to relocate across the globe to own lol.

No, come down here on the weekends. Bartenders make a lot of money here. No, I am a realtor down here. They always get really nice places that are pricey.

HOLY CRAP! From bartending? Shit.... I don’t have boobs, nor am I flamboyant enough I would think to make that much. HA HA

Wow, I just can’t believe a bartender can make that much... Shit maybe I should get good at bartending.

Boobs and flamboyance aren’t required anymore. With the whole craft cocktail craze going on, just know how to mix drinks extremely well. I had a banana drink down here that was a play on an old fashion. They muddled a banana, added two dashes of bitters, simple syrup in a large container with ice, added high end dark rum, shook it, strained it, and placed it in a chilled whiskey tumbler. Stuff like that is how they make good money.

True, I would prefer a well made drink over a good looking bartender. Thats a lot to ask of though. Never bartended, never worked in food services, and Florida. I think I’ll rob a bank instead.

F Type S/V8 S/R Coupe or Cayman S/GTS.

I live in India and taxes for imported cars mean that these are sold at twice the price. Also, I get paid according to the cost of living in India (aka 1/5th or 1/6th of my American counterpart).

Even if I could afford it here, I wouldn’t buy it because the roads suck and so do the people driving on the roads. So yea.

So you saw the India special for Top Gear? Is driving there really that bad?

That is wild about the costs. I though our 25 year ipornt rule sucked. I couldn’t imagine imported cars being that much.

Yep, driving is really that bad.

Even driving a regular car sucks. And anyone on a bicycle/bike/car can just swipe you and drive off. If you happen to drive an expensive car, you’re fucked.

Holy crap. I am sorry to hear that. I would love to visit India and now I will make sure to get the insurance on the rental car

Kinja'd!!!1

Lol Thanks dude :)

If you do visit, its best to get a car with a driver. That’s quite common even among Indians. The drivers know the roads and the places to go for whatever you’re looking for. And they can drive for long hours on dangerous terrains with no problem, because they’ve been doing that for a living.

Its very rare that people rent cars to drive themselves. I have seen a few Hertz and Avis locations, but I suspect it costs the same as getting a rental with a driver.

That’s no fun. I’ve spent my fair share of time off roading. Plus where is the adventure in being driven?

I agree, but it really depends on the type of trip you’re taking.

You can drive too if you like. You’ll just have to look around.
